Description

We take the bus or go by private car to Starkenbach in Toggenburg (891 m). There is parking possibility near the cable car "Selun". We take by this adventerous cable car and reach 1779 m. The car is just an open wooden box for 4 adults and 2 children. Only for courageos hikers who have a good head for heights! Please inform yourself in Internet about the schedule.

We start the hike at point 1579 and go straigtforward up the hill. The soil is pleasantly soft towards the top. On the top of Selun (2204 m) we enjoy a nice panorama and a breathtaking view down to the Wallensee lake.

The descent is identical with the ascent. We arrive at the montain station of the cable car and step in. The descent into the valley is even more thrilling because the wooden box seeminly falls downwards. But you don't need to worry - there has not been any accident since the cable car was built in 1911.
